St. Louis is an awsome town
The St. Louis Improv festival was super fun; they were warm and welcoming and the audiences were some of the best I've played for. Ticktock Hitchcock had a great show that was silly and dumb and so fun.
The improv was great, BUT my favorite part of St. Louis? The City Museum!!! It was beyond my wildest childhood dreams. We climbed through wire tunnels precariously welded together hundreds of feet in the air, we had a cave and an enchanted forrest adventure AND went down a ten story slide! I can't wait till I can visit again.
Workshops and Festivals!
I took the coolest workshop yesterday with Matt Miller at Second City; I learned so much about auditioning for television and film. I realized there is so much I don't know. Especially on the business side of things, how to market yourself and get yourself seen. Man, I need to get me an agent.
It was also great to be acting in front of a camera again. Don't get me wrong, I love being on stage, but there is something so intimate and personal about acting for the camera. I really love doing it, and learning ways to improve. It's funny how taking a class always makes you realize you have a lot further to go than you thought you did, I guess more super fun classes it is!
Now I'm off to St. Louis with Tick Tock Hitchcock for the STL IMprov Festival! Yay, a five hour car ride in a car full of men and farts!
i'm learning to use computers!
If you know me, you know that I am not technically inclined...
I really trying to up the ante on my acting career here in Chicago though, and an online presence is needed. So, I'm doing it! Just diving in.
I have been working with CorRes Theater Company recently on their new play Imaginary. We are still in rehearsals, but we shot some super funny promo videos last night and I will post those here when they are ready- yay!
If you have read my dumb blog-Thank You!
Just a gal trying to make it in Chicago.
